The makers of Hormel chili soup have teamed up with brewers at Minneapolis-based Modist Brewing Co to launch the first-ever Hormel Chili Cheese Brew, a sippable canned beer inspired by the brand’s dippable chili cheese dip.

Four-packs of the beer are available for $24 (including shipping and handling) at www.HormelChiliCheeseBrew.com while supplies last and will be shipped in time for football fans to enjoy the Super Bowl game on 12 February.

“Football season is just as much about the delicious food and drinks as it is about the game and the people you enjoy watching it with,” said Jason Hron, Hormel chili brand manager. “This year we were inspired to bring fans together and create something everyone can agree on – an irresistible sip that unites the best flavours of our famous Hormel Chili Cheese Dip.”

How can beer taste like chili cheese dip? The crushable American lager features Minnesota Pilsner barley malt and flaked corn. With this corn chip-flavoured base, Modist Brewing Co added a mix of savoury spices and hints of cheddar cheese powder to bring the flavours of Hormel Chili Cheese Dip to life.
