ADF & PLD Innovation Awards winners revealed on the final day of Paris Packaging Week

The curtains fell on a vibrant Paris Packaging Week as Easyfairs unveiled the winners of the ADF & PLD Innovation Awards. The announcement marked the culmination of an inspiring two-day event at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, dedicated to showcasing the best in packaging innovation from around the world.

In a grand finale, 15 awards and nine certificates were presented by the expert juries of the ADF and PLD Innovation Awards. These awards recognised the year’s most ground breaking designs across premium drinks, aerosols, and dispensing systems.

Throughout the event, visitors had the opportunity to explore the finalists’ designs showcased in the Innovation Awards gallery, drawing inspiration from the cutting-edge creativity driving the packaging industry forward.

Celebrating top aerosol and dispensing technology

A panel of industry experts, including representatives from major brands like Kao, L’Oréal and Unilever came together to select the best new ideas in aerosol and dispensing technology from the past year.

The jury chose six winners and gave out three certificates across different categories, highlighting the most creative and impressive launches in the global market.

The ADF Innovation Awards winners were:

Sustainable Innovation

  • Award: 45×150 ogival 150ml Aerosol Can, Brand: FA/Henkel – Lightest Impact Extruded Aerosol Can on the market in Europe, Ball Corporation
  • Certificate: Cardboard cap for aerosols, Wimbée Packaging

FEA Aerosol Technology of the Year

  • Award: All Eyes On Me – All Over Spray / Brand = RASASI (UAE), Envases Group

Personal Care

  • Award: Biore U Foaming Hand Soap Automatic Dispenser, KAO Corporation
  • Award: Ushuaia Brume Bio 2.0, L’Oréal

Packaging component

  • Award: Cardboard cap for aerosols, Wimbee Packaging

Household and Food

Honouring premium drinks innovation

The PLD Innovation Awards spotlighted the finest packaging achievements in the premium and luxury drinks market. This year’s jury, composed of experts from leading brands such as Rémy Cointreau, Bacardi, Champagne Taittinger and Moët Hennessy gathered on 20 November 2024, at JUJIN New York – Paris Packaging Week headline sponsor and a luxury packaging company – to evaluate the entries.

Ultimately, the panel selected nine award winners and six certificates, celebrating packaging solutions that pushed the boundaries of design, sustainability, and functionality.
