New chairman for Empac

Martin ReynoldsMartin Reynolds has been appointed as the new chairman of the European Metal Packaging Association (Empac).

This follows the resignation of Chris Homfray for health reasons. Reynolds (pictured) is the vice president of external and regulatory affairs for Crown Europe.

He is currently chairman of the Metal Packaging Manufacturers Association (MPMA), and a member of the Metal Packaging Europe executive committee. He is also a vice-chairman of the Europen executive committee.

Reynolds was also a key member of the think-tank which founded Empac.

Empac’s annual general meeting will take place over two days in Rome, Italy, from 6-7 June.

The Italian national association Anfima will host the conference. The event will start with an interactive workshop aimed at developing Empac’s vision of the industry. This seminar will provide members with an opportunity to express their views and to actively contribute to the industry’s development.

On the morning of day two, leading industry speakers will make presentations focusing on 2012 and 2013 activities, followed by an afternoon session which will highlight the industry from an Italian perspective.
