Speira appoints new CFO

European aluminium rolling and recycling company, Speira, has appointed Johannes Steurer as its new chief financial officer, overseeing finance, legal and IT for the business.

The 41-year-old has a strong track record in the aluminium industry as CFO (from 2012) and CEO (from 2022) of Aluflexpack AG. At the Swiss-based packing group, Johannes set up and ran brand strategy, drove forward value creation, internationalisation, sustainability, innovation agenda, and cultural change.

“His extensive experience in the industry, especially in the business of our customers, and his performance profile in the fields of finance, IR, legal and aompliance, as well as value creation make Johannes the ideal CFO to take Speira to the next stages,” said Speira CEO, Einar Glomnes.

Before entering the industry, the Austrian-born acted as analyst and investment manager at Global Equity Partners Group. He holds a Magister’s degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and has completed all exams of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
