Innosen, a global leader in quality assurance sensors for the metal packaging industry, has announced the release of the IS1100 Innolytix, a smart software platform designed to transform disconnected factory data into actionable insights. Acting as a centralised “control tower” for quality assurance, the Innolytix connects independent gauges into a unified dashboard, enabling can makers to monitor enamel rating and coating thickness with unprecedented clarity.

For years, can makers have struggled with isolated gauge systems that require manual data logging – a process often prone to human error and lacking in real-time visibility. The IS1100 Innolytix addresses this challenge by connecting directly to factory gauges via RS232 and RS485 protocols, automatically capturing production metrics and storing them in a local, standardised database.

“Innolytix isn’t just a data collector – it’s the brain behind better decisions,” said Luc Nelen, president at Innosen. “It helps can makers understand their production like never before, enabling clarity, traceability, and performance e-driven insights in every batch tested.”

The software is engineered to turn raw numbers into powerful visual tools. Users can view production data through dynamic heat maps, line graphs, bell curves, and box & whisker plots. This visualisation allows operators to instantly spot trends, outliers, and anomalies across multiple lines simultaneously, rather than waiting for end-of-batch reports.

Key capabilities of the IS1100 Innolytix include:

  • Universal Connectivity: Currently compatible with industry standards such as the Sencon SI9100 (Semi-Automatic Enamel Rater), Sencon SI9600 (Coating Thickness Gauge), Sencon SI9500 (Digital Film Weight Gauge) and CMC-Kuhnke ENR-4000 (Digital Enamel Rater). For other gauges, kindly contact Innosen.
  • Smart Alerts & Control Limits: Users can define Upper and Lower Control Limits (UCL/LCL). The system immediately triggers alerts—yellow for control limits and red for specification limits—when out-of-spec conditions are detected, allowing insight on process improvement.
  • Dual-Mode Analytics: The dashboard allows seamless switching between Real-Time monitoring for live production and Historical views for deep-dive audits, ensuring complete visibility into process history.
  • Traceability and Compliance: Designed for the rigorous demands of the metal packaging industry, Innolytix ensures full traceability. The system automatically logs data tagged by job, batch, shift, or operator, replacing manual entry with a faster, error-free digital record. All event logs and raw data can be exported as CSV files for external reporting and compliance audits.

The IS1100 Innolytix is available now for installation in quality laboratories, control rooms and manager offices. It requires a standard PC running Windows 10 or 11 with a minimum of 16GB RAM.
