Gernep renames to Kosme Germany

Gernep GmbH Etikettiertechnik will officially change its name on 1 March 2026. From this date onwards, Gernep GmbH Etikettiertechnik will be renamed Kosme Germany GmbH.

The change of name will also be accompanied by a change in management: Johannes Gstettner will take over as managing director of Kosme Germany on 1 March 2026.

 The name change is a further step in the reorganisation and development of the Krones Compact Class business unit, which was initiated in autumn 2025 and of which Gernep has been a part since 2019. The Compact Class line of business is made up of four different subsidiaries: Kosme Italy, Kosme Austria, Kosme FBA and Gernep. The change of name to Kosme Germany is therefore the next logical step towards creating a uniform image for this branch of the business. The launch of the reorganised Compact Class was marked by the joint development of a new generation of labelling machines (Flectra), which uniquely combines the expertise of both Kosme Italy and Gernep and was presented at the September 2025 edition of drinktec. 

Only the company name will change as of 1 March 2026. All known structures, contact persons and their contact details will remain unchanged. The Gernep brand will remain the property of Kosme Germany.
