New sales chief for Ball Packaging Europe

Thomas Haensch has been announced as the new vice president of sales and marketing at Ball Packaging Europe.
His predecessor Rob Miles was appointed vice president of sales for North American beverage packaging at the start of this year.
Haensch (pictured) has previously worked for Gillette and later Wella Professional, where he became vice president of global marketing. From 2003 to 2005 he was president of Sebastian, an American cosmetics producer based in Los Angeles, US.
Haensch then became general manager at Procter & Gamble in Switzerland and most recently served as global president project business at Grohe AG, a Germany-based, leading global manufacturer of sanitary fittings.
“The versatility of the beverage can in helping to create an exciting brand presentation has yet to be fully exploited in many markets. We need to bring out even better than before the added value that beverage cans can contribute to the success of brand producers,” says Haensch. “Ball is a leading provider of innovative packaging technologies with a name for consistent customer focus. That is a sound foundation for me to build on.”
