Crown announces acquisition of Empaque
Crown Holdings has announced that Mexico’s Federal Competition Commission has approved its acquisition of Empaque, a Mexican manufacturer of aluminium cans and ends, bottle caps and glass bottles for the beverage industry, from Heineken N.V. The parties expect to close the transaction shortly.
Empaque, headquartered in Monterrey, Mexico, currently operates two beverage can plants, a plant that manufactures beverage can ends, aluminium closures and bottle caps, a glass bottle plant and a glass service facility in Mexico.
