I want to be a part of it…
Greetings from the Big Apple, where I’m visiting the inaugural Aerosol and Dispensing Forum show (ADF) in North America. It’s my first visit to New York and it has certainly lived up to billing so far. From the bustling bright lights of Times Square to the tranquility of Central Park early in the morning, the city certainly has something for everyone.
Similarly, the ADF Forum has lived up to billing and cemented its place in the trade show calendar for the metal packaging industry. Yes the organisation of the show needs a little work; the conference area was far too small and I had to stand for a large part. However, the conferences have had good balance with heavyweights from Ball and Crown participating and a number of mid range suppliers to add variety. There has also been some interesting content on digital printing which I’ll be covering in our October issue.
Overall it has the feeling of a proper trade event – footfall for exhibitors and engaging content that wasn’t too promotional in the main. I am looking forward to seeing what day two brings…
