EAA pays respects to Dick Dermer
Gerd Götz, EAA director-general, has issued a statement to pay tribute to Dick Dermer, former secretary general of the European Aluminium Association, who passed away on 4 April.
Gerd Götz said: “The European Aluminium Association offers its condolences to Dick’s family. He was an inspirational leader for the European Aluminium sector, known for his vision and his passion for aluminium. Dick established strong foundations for the sector, on which we still continue to build.
He was involved with many key industry milestones, namely putting our industry on the European lobbying map. He led us through challenging times with many environmental, health and safety regulations, enabling us to make a strong impact.
Mr. Dermer will be sorely missed by all.”
