Summer is coming to a close, which means events season is nigh! drinktec is fast approaching – we are now on part 2 of posting our preview in this week’s newsletter, with the final part to follow next week.
As I won’t be in attendance at drinktec myself, our freelance reporter, Dominique Huret, will be capturing all the action for our coverage. If you’d like to organise a meeting or interview with us, please contact me via email below and cc in [email protected] so we can plan around her schedule from 15 to 17 September.
The IMDPA Annual Conference is also in less than a month. Scott Breen, CMI’s new president, heads up the speakers with an insight on the state of CMI and the can industry’s critical issues, which include materials of concern, sustainability and trade. Sarah Hills and I will be in attendance, excited to hear the latest in the metal decorating sphere.
After that, it’s Asia CanTech! We have just gone to press with the September preview edition for this, so expect to hear from some of this year’s speakers, as well as the companies joining us for the tabletop exhibition sessions. This year is shaping up to be one of our biggest shows yet, so it’s not to be missed. Also a quick reminder that our awards entries close on 1 September, so enter now if you haven’t already! Click here for the details.
There is also a lot happening in the next week, with the Bell Publishing annual BBQ on 5 September. In addition, this week we sadly say goodbye to our editorial assistant, Lily Blackmore, who is heading off to study English & Creative Writing at university. We thank her for all her help and wish her the very best in her studies!
