Overview

CarnaudMetalbox Engineering Ltd (CMbE) is a leading global designer and manufacturer of canmaking ma­chinery, trackwork, conveyance and tooling. Through their partnerships they can offer full turnkey canmaking solu­tions to produce two-piece beverage or food cans. To ensure their customers are supported globally, CMbE operate from multiple sites around the world, three in the UK, four in the US, and one in China.

Their 150,000 sq ft UK assembly facility is situated in Leeds and is capable of assembling multiple can lines of equipment. An embedded safety and learning culture are at the heart of everything they do, enabling rapid understanding and interpretation of customers' needs, their highly skilled, multi-disciplined workforce is ready to support you today.

CMbE Mec-A-Tec:

CMbE Mec-A-Tec specialises in the design, manufacture, and installation of technical solutions for a range of mechanical, vacuum, magnetic and air conveying equipment, for the 2-piece & 3-piece can and metal packaging industry.  With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, all Mec-A-Tec systems and solutions are designed in-house by their specialist team of Design Engineers.  

Tooling:

The CMbE Tool Shops, H-V Industries & Wissota Tool pride themselves on being global suppliers of world class precision tooling and components for the canmaking industry. Their commitment to quality, continuous Improvement and customer satisfaction are the defining factors which set them apart. Aligning their expertise, technologies, and processes to achieve the tight tolerances required for your canmaking needs is their commitment to you.

Using cutting edge automation and the latest machine tools, they are able to offer Cupper, Bodymaker, Trimmer and Necker Tooling for can manufacture – along with end, tab and conversion press tooling for end manufacture.

Spares

CMbE’s global spares department is open 24 hours a day, operating out of their Head Office in Shipley, UK. The US spares facility, located in Norwalk, manages all en­quiries out of the Americas; whilst the Chi­nese spares facility, located in Shanghai, China, manages all enquiries out of China.
