Budweiser launches FA Cup pint cans

Budweiser has designed limited edition FA Cup pint cans to coincide with the world famous English football competition.

The FA Cup cans are the first set in a series of limited edition packs which the company is planning to roll out during the football season.

US beer brand Budweiser was named as the commercial partner of the FA Cup for three seaons in June.

The focal point of the cans will be Budweiser’s bowtie icon, but a silhouette of the FA Cup will also compliment it.

Budweiser European marketing director Iain Newell said: “It’s been an exciting start to the FA Cup season for Budweiser so what better way to promote our partnership and the beautiful game than to launch limited edition cans for our consumers to enjoy and collect.

“These cans are the beginning of many more exciting plans we have in store for the trade this football season and we are confident they will bring the competition closer to fans around the UK.”

One and a half million 568ml (pint) cans are being produced and will be rolled out from this month. The cans will make their way into UK retailers over the next few months and will be available in four-packs for take-home only.
