Carabao joins the agenda for Asia CanTech 2019

Thai energy drink Carabao has been announced as the first keynote speaker for this year’s Asia CanTech 2019, which takes place from 28-30 October in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kamoldist Smuthkochorn, managing director of marketing for Carabao Group Public Company Limited, has confirmed his attendance, where delegates will learn of the company’s filling developments in Thailand.

“I am delighted to be announcing Mr Kamoldist Smuthkochorn will be joining us as a keynote speaker at Asia CanTech 2019,” said Megan Freeman, events manager. “With Carabao being a huge energy drink filler in Thailand, we very much look forward to the company’s keynote presentation on the 29 October at 9:00am.

“There will be a number of other announcements regarding Asia CanTech shortly, where we will release further speakers and panellists for the event. It promises to be our best edition of Asia CanTech yet.”

Carabao energy drink derives from Thai rock star Yuenyong Opakul. He is the vocalist for the band Carabao, who 15 years ago, decided with a close friend to set up an energy drinks company. The company’s slogan is ‘Songs gave them hope, Carabao gives them energy’. The energy drink now outstrips Red Bull in Thailand, and has grown to be a global brand, including sponsoring Chelsea Football Club and Reading Football Club in the UK.

The Asia CanTech conference and exhibition brings together global suppliers and can makers and fillers from across Asia. No other event offers the same opportunity to maximise the exchange of ideas between suppliers, can makers and fillers in the region.

The event consists of a two-day conference featuring key note speakers from the industry, a technical forum and suppliers’ exhibition.
