A recent Mintel report including research into British consumer food and drink habits during the pandemic has revealed that having been in decline for a number of years, the stockpiling of canned meat has led to a resurgence in sales.
Back to Bangkok for Asia CanTech 2021
Happy New Year to you all. As we move business forward as well as can be expected at the moment, we have some good news with the announcement of the return this October of our Asia CanTech event. Once again – all being well in the world- it will take place in Bangkok, Thailand.
Virtually drawing to a close
As 2020 nears its end, so does access to Virtual Asia CanTech, with just one week left to view the latest technologies, products and services from our exhibitors and listen to an array of presentations from leaders in the metal packaging industry.
Reuniting the sector
This week saw Asia CanTech brought to life in a virtual fashion. At a time when face-to-face contact remains limited, CanTech International’s new online event provided a unique opportunity to bring the world’s can makers and suppliers together in a new and immersive, digital exhibition and conference.

Next Monday (23 November) will see Asia CanTech brought to you in a virtual fashion for the first time ever.
Keynote speaker Scott Breen looks ahead to Virtual Asia CanTech
Scott Breen, vice president of sustainability at the Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI), will be focusing on how the can is tailor-made for the circular economy during his keynote speech at this year’s Virtual Asia CanTech Conference.
New developments
Firstly we begin with news that editor Alex Fordham has left us to pursue a different career path. We thoroughly enjoyed working with him and would like to thank him for his time and dedication to CanTech International over the last five years. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Which means we must welcome in a new team member.
