Asia CanTech
Positive steps forward
Details of Ireland’s planned Deposit Return Scheme is welcome news this week, especially for those in the metal packaging sector who have been lobbying for schemes to adopt a variable rate.
Stranger times
Having now returned from my extended trip across Thailand and then Bali, the feeling’s a mixed one. Obviously I’ve got the post-holiday blues, but the UK is increasingly a stranger place to be right now.
Return of Asia CanTech proves a huge success
Asia CanTech has just concluded its 2022 edition and from myself and Bell Publishing it’s a massive thank you to all our attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and of course the events team at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok for a wonderful show.
Asia CanTech awaits
We are now less than one week away from Asia CanTech 2022, and our team is busy making final preparations before the flight out to Bangkok.

I hope you are all well as we approach the end of February. The March issue of the magazine should have reached you by now and hopefully you are enjoying the read.
The virtual appeal
So many conferences and events have been cancelled over the past year due to the pandemic, but despite the forced physical distance between all in the metal packaging industry, we have stayed connected in different ways through technology.
Comforting to know…
A recent Mintel report including research into British consumer food and drink habits during the pandemic has revealed that having been in decline for a number of years, the stockpiling of canned meat has led to a resurgence in sales.
Back to Bangkok for Asia CanTech 2021
Happy New Year to you all. As we move business forward as well as can be expected at the moment, we have some good news with the announcement of the return this October of our Asia CanTech event. Once again – all being well in the world- it will take place in Bangkok, Thailand.
Virtually drawing to a close
As 2020 nears its end, so does access to Virtual Asia CanTech, with just one week left to view the latest technologies, products and services from our exhibitors and listen to an array of presentations from leaders in the metal packaging industry.
Reuniting the sector
This week saw Asia CanTech brought to life in a virtual fashion. At a time when face-to-face contact remains limited, CanTech International’s new online event provided a unique opportunity to bring the world’s can makers and suppliers together in a new and immersive, digital exhibition and conference.
