Canpack expands in Czech Republic

Canpack, part of the Canpack Group and a manufacturer of aluminuim beverage cans, is continuing its global expansion with a new investment in the Czech Republic.

The company, whose headquarters are in Krakow, Poland, is investing in an aluminum beverage can factory in the town of Stříbřo – in the region of Pilsen, western Czech Republic – with a production line that will serve the production capacity of Plzeňský Prazdroj, a prominent Czech brewery and a member of the Asahi Group, as well as other clients in the region.

This new investment will increase the overall aluminum beverage can production capacity of the company, bringing it to around 25 billion cans per year.

“The state of the art facility is a landmark in the continued strategic partnership between Asahi and Canpack,” said Stephen McAneny, vice presidnet and chief commercial officer, Canpack.

“Utilising our agile business model we aim to offer Plzeňský Prazdroj and our extensive European customer base innovative and sustainable packaging, superior quality, as well as operational excellence whilst enhancing the brand and consumer experience.”
