Paris Packaging Week has announced the introduction in 2025 of the Discovery Zone, a dedicated space for start-ups that will be a key new feature of the event next January.

The new zone will showcase companies that are revolutionising the industry with new alternative materials, refill and reuse solutions, new packaging formats, new closures or dispensing systems, new decoration technologies, and AI-driven processes.

As well as having a pod-style booth, start-ups in the Discovery Zone will talk at a new pitch-focused theatre, connecting them with buyers and potential collaborators from across the beauty, drinks, personal care, luxury and aerosol sectors.

“Paris Packaging Week is constantly evolving to give the best possible vision of the future of the sector,” said Josh Brooks, co-event director at Paris Packaging Week. “The Discovery Zone is just one of a number of new initiatives for 2025. It will not only highlight the future of packaging, but also provide invaluable opportunities for networking, collaboration, and growth for the companies involved.”

Jennifer Burley, co-event director at Paris Packaging Week, said: “We are launching the Discovery Zone to foster innovation and support emerging companies in the packaging industry. By creating this unique platform, we aim to accelerate the growth and development of innovative packaging solutions, ultimately driving the industry towards a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.”

Paris Packaging Week, run by international event organiser Easyfairs, will release the agenda and exhibitor list ahead of the show on 28 and 29 January 2025.
