New twist off aluminium bottle for Bud
Bud Light Platinum is soon to be available in a new 11.5oz realisable aluminium bottle across the United States.
The Bud Light Platinum aluminium bottle, featuring a twist-off cap for a tool-less opening, is also more than 50% stronger than a standard aluminium can and, according to the brewer, also helps the beer get colder faster.
The new design will be initially released in Las Vegas at nightclubs and pools throughout the city, before a national launch later this year.
Bud Light Platinum is the first beer to be made available in Anheuser-Busch’s new bottle.
“We hand-picked Bud Light Platinum to launch our company’s first reclosable aluminium bottle because of our confidence in the beer,” said Rob McCarthy, vice president of Bud Light.
“Platinum has been able to elevate the premium light beer category with its blend of image and flavor, and we believe it will do the same to for the perception of aluminium bottles.”
“The new bottle continues our long tradition of innovative packaging that delivers the freshest, coldest, best-tasting beer possible,” added Pat McGauley, vice president of innovation for Anheuser-Busch.
The Bud Light Platinum bottle will also be available in retail stores in 10 packs, it also available in 12oz glass bottles, 22oz single-serve bottles and the 12oz sleek can.
