New rules for aerosols in the post

The rules have changed regarding aerosols being sent by post within the UK, according to BAMA.

The Royal Mail has issued revised Guidance on their terms and conditions. It includes changes to aerosols that may be sent in the post to UK destinations.

There are two changes:

The maximum size of aerosols sent by post has increased from 350ml to 500ml;

The permitted aerosols are Toiletries and Medicinal; previously the specified categories were ‘deodorants, body sprays, hair sprays, shaving and hair removal creams, asthma inhalers, etc’

These new rules are effective now and will include aerosols posted by private customers as well as by business customers.
