Tin capsule committee established

A group to promote the use of tin capsules for premium wines and spirits has been established, with three founding member companies:
· Ramondin Group (Spain)
· Rivercap SA (Spain)
· Coliège Métalco Emballages – Bouchage Métallique (France)

The Committee will specialise in the development of communications, training and educational tools to support the market for tin capsules worldwide. Other manufacturers will also be invited to join in a combined effort to identify the use of pure tin capsules as a mark of distinction in the packaging of top quality wines and spirits.

The chief executive officer of Ramondin, José Miguel Munilla, will be the first president of the Committee, with ITRI acting as secretary/co-ordinator of the group.

The official launch of the Committee will be at the Vinexpo Asia Pacific exhibition in Hong Kong on 27 – 29 May. A second event in Asia or Europe is planned for the autumn.
