Boyd returns to MPMA
William Boyd, former chairman has returned to MPMA as CEO and director from 1 January 2016.
Boyd returns to the UK from the US where he has spent the past six years as general manager of Tata Steel Plating USA and CEO of Thomas Steel Strip Corp and Apollo Metals.
Nick Mullen has stepped down as MPMA CEO after eight years, but will remain on the executive board in an advisory capacity.
“Bill brings a wealth of global industry experience to the role, he is well known and widely respected across the sector. We are delighted that he became available as his knowledge of the sector, his business experience and communications skills are exceptional and we wish him continued success in his new role,” explains Mullen.
William Boyd, added: “My eleven years in metal packaging, including responsibilities on the MPMA council, provide a strong platform for my new role. I am very excited by the challenges ahead and look forward to working with former colleagues and engaging with the wider sector groups as we steer a course for metal packaging over the next few years.”
