Looking ahead

Autumn in the UK is one of my favourite times of the year. It’s time to dust off the winter garments, and wrap up warm for the winter months ahead. It is also a chance to look ahead to the festive period, look back on what you’ve achieved during the calendar year and also plan ahead for next year.

I’ve been editor at CanTech International for a year and it’s certainly been a busy, but most enjoyable year. With visits to Paris, Denver, Chicago, New York and Malaysia, there has been some great travel involved and I think I’ve learnt plenty about how this wonderful industry works. I would say it’s probably been a significant year for the can making industry with a number of acquisitions and interesting changes to the dynamics of the industry. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts about the year we have had so far.

I hope you have enjoyed some of the new features and ideas we’ve introduced including Can Man, our list of influential people within can making, and not to mention our new magazine app which appears to have been really well received.

That’s not to say we are resting on our laurels as we look ahead towards next year. I am happy to announce that the 2017 media pack including forthcoming editorial features is now available. Please access the CanTech website for more information. We have some exciting developments planned which we will hopefully be able to announce in the next few weeks too…

You now only have a few hours left to enter the Asia CanTech Awards – entries close today at 5pm GMT time. Don’t forget to send in your paperwork!

Our floorplan for the event has now been finalised, which you can see here.

Have a good week
