A revolutionary year?

This year’s trade show schedule should be a belter, with a number of brands claiming to have introduced exciting new products into the marketplace.

Whether these new releases prove to a revolutionary step remains to be seen, but it does seem that the PR juggernaut has kicked in another notch this year, certainly among some of the heavy hitters within the trade.

These new launches include Stolle’s new line of can washers and ovens – a reintroduction back into this category, and we have CMB’s new partnership with Straight Line Drive (which you can read about in the March issue), which is deemed to be ‘revolutionary not evolutionary’.

Elsewhere, we have INX’s Metal Colour Catalogue, said to be the industry’s first true colour standard for beverage can design printing on metal, Sacmi’s new metal cap manufacturing range, and Sencon showing its Benchtop, semi-automatic, dimensional gauges for both trimmed and finished can.

Of course there are dozens more, but you get the picture – the next month promises to be an exciting time within the trade, and of course you can read about it all here.

I know some of you operate in other markets than just the can business however. With Bell Publishing’s portfolio also encompassing the food, confectionery, tea & coffee and diary industries, it may be worth checking out some of our other publications too.

To keep you up to speed with these latest developments, here is the news from our digital editor, Sharan Aujla: http://www.bellpublishing.com/1241/news/spring-is-sprung/
