Asia CanTech 2023 Award winners announced

The 2023 edition of the Asia CanTech Awards were announced on the 31 October at the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Bangkok.

The evening saw Swan Industries Thailand pick up three awards, alongside many worthy category winners.



Air freshener can by Swan Industries Thailand 

The printing used on this robust can blends shades of three colours in high quality, with the graphics distinguished beautifully from the background design.

Accents & Colour National Festival Collection by Crown Beverage Cans Saigon

These beverage cans are the result of Crown Group, Crown Vietnam and customer research. They use Crown’s Accents variable printing technology, to highlight high-registration, detailed imagery of 63 provinces of Vietnam.

Double necked beverage can by Hindustan Tin Works 

This can was created for the Indian market and provides a stackability/nesting feature for brands to display the products on the shelf. Unfortunately there was not a representative from Hindustan at the show to collect the company’s trophy and certificate, so they will be delivered shortly.



Red Horse beer can by Can Asia 

Available in the Philippines, this can features a limited edition horse design, along with striking bold yellow and blue brush strokes in the background, highlighting the excellent print registration.



Peel off end for pet food cans by Zhejiang Bosun New Material Technology (BNM)

The design on this end offers an attractive tab design for easy opening, customised printing and an optional ring colour.

Nestlé Bangladesh infant formula container by Jenson & Nicholson

With this packaging, Jenson & Nicholson has introduced the first metallic effect printing for Nestlé infant containers, with great success.

This round welded can features a lever lid and a tagger to help keep the product fresh.

1 litre CVT fluid can by Swan Industries Thailand

The graphic detail is minimal but creates a luxury feel for the product.



Rectangular coffee container for Nescafé by Jenson & Nicholson

This packaging was designed to replace the product’s previous plastic packaging and showcases that metal packaging needn’t only be for luxury coffee options. Jenson & Nicholson has also created this rectangular shape design for cooking spices and cereal products.

The jury was impressed with how detailed the print registration was on this aerosol, which features a bubble and leaf design to highlight the sleek feel of the can.
