Crown to move European businesses to Switzerland
Can making giant Crown Holdings will establish new headquarters for its European businesses in Zug, Switzerland.
The move, which will centralise all senior management in a single location from 1 January 2011, is designed to enhance communication and efficiencies. Support functions and local sales teams that serve French and African customers and are currently located in Paris will remain in place. All other European sales teams will remain in their current locations.
Crown’s European division manufactures beverage, food and aerosol cans and ends, specialty packaging, metal vacuum closures and caps and can making equipment. Net sales in 2009 were $4.2 billion (€3.1bn).
