Hindustan Tin Works celebrates export of 1bn ends
Hindustan Tin Works will celebrate the export of its “1bn ends” at the Metal Packaging Plaza during the upcoming Interpack show (May 8 – 14, Messe Dusseldorf, Germany.)
The company is aiming to position itself as a global end manufacturer by exporting its products like metal ends, components, cans, printed sheets to the major brand owners and can makers across 27 countries.
Atit Bhatia, senior VP at Hindustan Tin Works, says: “We are a company that supports growth through long term partnerships with major multinational brand owners and can makers across the world, with exports revenue currently corresponding to about 33% of our manufacturing sales and our ends being exported to countries like the USA, Australia, France, Italy, Netherlands, Malaysia, China, Africa, UAE, South America etc. HTW has ambitious plans to grow its end manufacturing division in years to come.”
HTW has ends manufacturing expertise in several types of metal ends and components for products like Infant Formula, Nutritional Powder, Milk Powder, Processed Food, Coffee, Paints, Penny Lever or Ring Lid Tagger Assembly ends etc. Besides this, the company has also invested into end manufacturing for composite cans which is a highly specialized closure with high on shoulder lining.
HTW success in exports is primarily due to the approved status it has been able to achieve by meeting the
stringent quality requirements of major global brand owners like Nestle, Nutricia, Heinz, Abbott, Reckitt Benckiser etc and the low cost manufacturing base which India offers.
HTW in its ends plant has successfully manufactured more than 4 billion world class quality ends of which 1
billion have been exported, while also been accredited as a “Star Exporter” by the Government of India, is
a great achievement in itself.
