Limited edition Pilsner Urquell cans
Rexam has collaborated with Czech beer brand Pilsner Urquell to create a range of limited edition cans celebrating Pilsner’s sponsorship of the Czech Republic´s national ice hockey team, due to take part in the World Championships in Prague later this year.
The cans are designed using Rexam’s Super Premium Editions technology and high definition printing, showing illustrations of the Czech national team’s popular ice hockey players. The cans are finished with a matt over varnish to offer a premium feel.
Lukás Novotny, brand Mmanager for Pilsner Urquell, says, “Rexam is renowned for its innovative design capabilities and for producing personalised stand out cans, which is exactly what we required for this project. We wanted to get consumers excited about enjoying Pilsner Urquell, a traditional beer, whilst enjoying the traditional Czech sport and Rexam has achieved this.”
Produced out of Rexam’s Austrian plant in Enzesfeld, the 50cl cans are available to consumers in the Czech Republic from the beginning of April and throughout the Ice Hockey Championships.
