We’ve just wrapped up the March edition of the magazine, so I thought I’d echo my welcoming of Scott Breen to our editorial board in this blog. Scott’s face will be no stranger to many of you, having had a prolific career in sustainability and with the Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI), now standing as its president.

Scott has also been a keynote speaker at Asia CanTech, having joined us at the 2023 event. His expertise on our board will be greatly valued going forward. We’ve got a special US policy focus upcoming on recycling from CMI, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Next month we will also announce a new editorial board member representing the European metal packaging industry, so watch this space.

Our April edition of the magazine will be a big one as it’s our Metpack preview.

If you’re an advertiser in either our April or May issue of the magazine, this will offer you an opportunity to feature in our preview, with the chance to tell our readers about your presence at the show and what visitors can expect at your stand. Please contact Sarah Hills if you haven’t booked to advertise already, and then I will be in touch to organise the editorial.

CanTech will be at Metpack too, at Stand 3B27, and we’ll have plenty of exciting things to discuss with you there.

In our own event news, we’ve nearly sold out of platinum packages for Asia CanTech, so if you’d like the opportunity to share your expertise and research on stage, now’s your last chance! There are still plenty of silver and gold packages available though, which offer a myriad of ways to promote your company. Contact event manager Aimee Carnell for more information or book directly here.
