As I’m sure you’ve been seeing on our social media channels recently, the speaker, tabletop and sponsorship slots for Asia CanTech 2023 are filling up quickly.

This year’s show (30 October – 1 November) in Bangkok is certainly set to rival last year’s edition, and we can’t wait to welcome back familiar faces, as well as meet newcomers.

Robert Budway and Scott Breen from the Can Manufacturers Institute make up our keynote speakers on the second day of the conference (1 November), and will be addressing key global sustainability issues. Also confirmed to join us at the time of writing are Antares Vision Group; Bright Packaging Technology; CarnaudMetalbox Engineering; Henkel; Integrated Packaging Solutions (IPS); Intralox; INX International Ink Co; Mall + Herlan; NPB Automation; OKS Spezialschmierstoffe; Pneumofore; Pressco; Specmetrix Systems; Sun Chemical; Unimaq; and Xiamen Baofeng. Together, the presentations will reflect the whole value chain of the metal packaging sector, and showcase why our industry is leading the way not only in excellence and innovation, but also in the fight against climate change.

Taking place in the afternoon across the conference days are the tabletop exhibitions. The Asia CanTech exhibition hall offers further visibility for your company, as well as allowing for the all-important networking opportunities that make events such as ours invaluable to business development and progression.

The celebrated Gala Dinner will take place on 31 October, where we will present the winners of this year’s awards. Entries are open now, to can and end makers producing aerosols; two-piece or three-piece beverage and food cans; decorative/speciality cans; general line cans; and ends. There will also be a prize for innovation, which last year was awarded to Crown Food Thailand’s golf ball can – this also took home the Supreme Winner cup. The deadline for entries to the 2023 Asia CanTech Awards is 30 September.

We will also be announcing the topic for the Candid Forum in the coming months, so keep an eye out for that. From incoming regulation, to crackdowns on sustainability reporting, and new consumer trends emerging, there are many developments within the industry to discuss, so I look forward to sharing the conversation with our panel and audience on the morning of 1 November.

Further upcoming event announcements will be made via social media and will also be sent straight to your inbox, so make sure you and your colleagues are subscribed to our newsletter.
