BAMA announces winners of Can Do awards

The British Aerosol Manufacturers’ Association (BAMA) has announced Dorset Local authorities as the winner of its Can Do Awards 2011. The awards recognise and reward the best local authority recycling campaigns that include empty aerosols.

Articles in this issue include a review of Asia CanTech 2011, an article about manufacturing methods used for making aerosols and a report on Apeal’s recent Steel Summit in Slovakia, plus regulars including Candid and Knight’s Knowledge.

Mall + Herlan nominated for award

Mall + Herlan’s steel monoblock can has been nominated for a German packaging award. The one-piece steel aerosol can design has been nominated by the German Packaging Institute for one of the awards to be presented at the Brau Beviale show in Nürnberg.

Supplier excellence recognised by Rexam

Rexam Beverage Can Europe & Asia recently held its annual supplier awards ceremony in the UK. The awards recognised supplier excellence throughout 2010 and took place at Sopwell House in St Albans. More than 100 guests, including 40 suppliers, attended the event.
