Hindustan Tin Works now exporting to China

Indian can maker Hindustan Tin Works (HTW) has added China to its list of export destinations. While China exports millions of cans to the entire world, Hindustan Tin has started exporting metal can components to China.

The Institute of Marketing and Management (IMM) has crowned one of India’s leading can makers as top exporter at the 38th World Marketing Congress. Hindustan Tin Works Ltd (HTWL) is one of the largest exporters of metal cans, printed sheets, components and flattened cans.

Blackstone, Dinamia to buy Spanish can maker Mivisa

US based Blackstone Group is leading a consortium of private equity funds which have agreed to buy Spanish can making company Mivisa. No financial details of the acquisition have been disclosed but Dinamia said that as part of the agreement it will pay up to €9.5 million ($12.58m) for a maximum five per cent stake in Mivisa’s parent Sofamen XXI, Reuters reported.
