Blackstone, Dinamia to buy Spanish can maker Mivisa
US based Blackstone Group is leading a consortium of private equity funds which have agreed to buy Spanish can making company Mivisa. No financial details of the acquisition have been disclosed but Dinamia said that as part of the agreement it will pay up to €9.5 million ($12.58m) for a maximum five per cent stake in Mivisa’s parent Sofamen XXI, Reuters reported.

Indian can making company Hindustan Tin Works has been recognised for the high standard of its quality control. The company has been certified for an ISO quality standard and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

Hindustan Tin Work’s Canvironment Week has been awarded the Environment Initiative of the Year Award at Ambrosia Indspirit 2010. Ambrosia Indspirit is an Alcobev trade event in Asia. This year it was held in Mumbai, India.
